Silicone-based ingredients and excipients along with robust formulations can help to enhance drug delivering systems by improving both efficacy and patient compliance.
Today the global healthcare industry is facing several different challenges, including: growing and ageing population; affordability and access to healthcare - on the production side, an improved overall sustainability of the drug discovery process, and total life cycle of the drug - which has led to the increase in time and cost needed to put a product on the market.
This increasing overall cost of healthcare is driving players to demand outcome of performance based solutions.
How can we encourage innovation across the whole process from drug discovery to market approval and acceptance and ensure that patients receive the right treatment at the right time at the right place?
Dow Corning Healthcare is concentrating efforts in two main fields:
- Efficacy and patient Compliance - offering innovative materials and formulation assistance that can modify the drug delivery properties of APIs.
- Help to adapt your formulations to be more efficient and/or more cost effective.
This webinar will guide you through today's healthcare market situation and its challenges and present you with our latest update. We will present formulations that offer enhanced aesthetics thereby improving patient compliance. These solutions may help to increase delivery efficiency together with the adequate regulatory package to support pharmaceutical or consumer chosen applications. Silicone materials have a use history of more than 60 years in health care applications because of their wide biocompatibility profile, superior bio-durability, and outstanding versatility.
